![]() I'm not saying your ignorant just trying to explain things correctly, didn't want to think you had been ripped off for something that was a cheap add on. Now if you or anyone can read Japanese that would help me greatly to set the time. ? The system I have installed Has a Sat Nav, (not bothered with) GPS, Radio and Cd (working). The lead I had installed gives me all stations from 77.4mhz to 107mhz,and happy with that, but ,what I am looking for is to have the correct time set. I did not know that you could change the head unit of the system without buying a new one, which depending on the type and make is about €240-€900. Your pardon for me being ignorant, your right it is a lead with a little metal box that was installed. On a personal note, I think this is one of those times a simple thing like setting you clock is a bit of a nightmare for an imported car !įirstly it's not a chip fitted in the radio to change the radio frequency but an aerial adaptor in the aerial lead cost of about €15.Īs for the clock it seems the others have given you a lot of help, my surgesttion would be to replace the head unit with a European one if its a double din fitment as you will never be able to use the sat nav here and depending on budget by replacing the unit you could get one that works here. The dealer who you know who I use Rob got a chip installed for the radio stations but they don't know about changing the clock. The radio is a Gathers Honda Multi Car-AV System VXM-090CV. Hi Guys, thanks for the great info but I forgot to say in my post that my radio has got Sat Nav but in Japanese. Use the link above then page 199, shows the buttons in 'english'. If you have Sat-Nav, it should set automatically ? Dealer I bought the car cant help but he did get a chip put in which gives me the English radio stations. The car is a Honda Fit 2011.Ĭan anyone help me by either telling me how to set the clocks time or else set it for me. Problem is that it has not got the correct time on the radio clock. Hello there, I have just purchased a second hand car which has been imported from Japan Circa 2011.
